While they wait for council permits to allow their first bus to begin operations in Melbourne, the Sleepbus will be making a mercy dash to Queensland to provide respite to the emergency service workers cleaning up after Cyclone Debbie. Tontine has provided Sleepbus with 500 Tontine pillows and 150 Tontine quilts to support this worthy project. Last year Tontine donated all the bedding needed to get the first Sleepbus up and running, and keep it going during its first 12 months. Tontine are very proud to support Sleepbus, who are a non-profit organisation on a mission to end the need for people to sleep rough in Australia. Sleepbus sleeps up to 22 people per night, in a safe, secure environment.
We can’t wait to see the Sleepbus in operations in Melbourne soon, and wish Simon and his crew all the best on their Queensland dash.
