How do I wash the Quilted Waterproof Mattress Protector?
Pop it in the washing machine. It is machine washable, so follow the care label for the right cycle and temperature. Washing it on its own, or with a few light items, gives it room to rinse properly, and make sure it is completely dry before it goes back on the bed.
Can I put this waterproof protector in the dryer?
It is best not to. Tontine's mattress protector care guide advises against the tumble dryer, because heat can damage the polyurethane backing that makes the protector waterproof. Line dry it instead, reshaping it while damp, and make sure the quilted filling is completely dry before you put it back on the bed.
Should I wash the protector before I use it?
It is not essential, but many people like to wash new bedding before first use to freshen it after packaging and transport. If you do, follow the care label and make sure the protector is completely dry, including the quilted filling, before you fit it over your mattress.

Bought a queen cover to protect matress from sweat, but it made the problem twice as bad. The quality of this protector for the $110 it retails for is atrocious. It feels like plastic, and sounds like it too when you move in bed, and it is SO hot even when the outside temperature is just 6 degrees. I expected a lot more from tontine, i wont be buying the brand again. This matress protector is going straight to landfill.

This does not protect the mattress from leaks. It's comfortable to sleep on but when my daughter has an accident, it seeps through the layers and wets the mattress.
